Toyota Camry, One of the Best Value Sedans Available

First manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation in 1980, the word ‘Camry’ was derived from the Japanese word ‘Kanmuri’ that means ‘Crown’. A few decades ago, Toyota Camry –which had cube-like looks and front wheel drive, was introduced to the States to replace Toyota Corona and it was an instant but long-lasting hit. Being produced by one of the largest car manufacturer in the world, toyota camry is regularly crowned as one of the best-selling vehicles in the US, Australia, Canada and in some Asian countries like Cambodia where the medium-sized vehicle is known for its reliability, comfortable riding and cost efficiency. Although some people consider the car is not quite flamboyant or sporty enough for their personal taste, its resale price is still among the best in its class. Toyota Camry has been a comfortable and quite spacious mid-size vehicle for years and Toyota has improved much of its features in the recent Camry generations.

Some of the technologically-advanced features that one could find in the newer versions of Toyota Camry are satellite navigation system, luxurious leather seating and smart key technology. The 2007 Camry was introduced with more aerodynamic look, improved safety features, upgraded horsepower and better engine. In the same year, Toyota Motor introduced the first gasoline/electric Camry Hybrid which has EPA fuel efficiency of 33 mpg on the city and 34 on the highway. The Camry Hybrid was the third car introduced by Toyota Motor Corporation, following Toyota Prius and the Highlander Hybrid. The 2010 Camry is equipped with 2.5 liter, 4C engine and 6-speed auto transmission which improves the car’s fuel efficiency.
Due to its fuel efficiency, comfortable riding, reseller value and smoother engine, Toyota Camry is still one of the best value sedans in the market in this decade.
