Portable Air Compressor to the Rescue

Last week, I decided to help my Dad wash the cedar siding on his house. He has completed more than 15 years since the last had been, and it was really needed evidence for the help. The shape and darkening surface is important. Anyway, I decided to use a gasoline pressure washer to clean the wood. It worked like a charm, and, alone, the work was done and sitting dry. As it takes some time to dry completely before patch, I had time to think, because I wanted to use it. Of course, the brushing is probably the best way to really spot in the woods, but I was also interested in saving a little time. I just moved a sprayer to apply the stain. My research revealed that, soon, something portable compressor I must. Funny how our desires and needs is some overlap, right?

I have a powered air rifle in a great local hardware store. At first it just seemed perfect. I have the hose and gun filled the tank with patches hooked, and began systematically applied to siding. The portable compressor was maneuvering wheeled and light. I could see the dry wood soaking the stain and I am glad that I opted for this type of application. I dreaded the idea of long hours to paint mark on the end. Once I had the first team on the board, I leave for a few hours while I took a break, then went out again and applied a second coat. It would probably have sufficed, but I read that the best thing to do, if the application with a spray stain is to come back and brush on the job. This reality has led the field in the woods and left them to fill every pore little.
