All about peanut Allergy

Peanut allergy is a type of food allergy is different from allergies mother. This is a Type 1 hypersensitivity to peanuts food substances causing overreaction of the immune system, which can cause a small percentage of people with severe physical symptoms. It is affecting approximately 0.4-0.6% of the population. Peanut allergy can be a serious disease that can affect about three million Americans, or 1.1 percent of peanut allergy most severe anaphylaxis, an emergency that requires attention and immediate treatment with epinephrine is the result. It is usually an exclusion diet and vigilant avoidance of foods containing peanuts or peanut particles together and / or oils can be treated. The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America estimates that peanut allergy is the most common cause of deaths related to food.

The exact causes of peanut allergy are unknown. A 2003 study found no association with maternal exposure to peanuts during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, even if the data link to the amount of time a child is to show the breast. The same study showed that exposure to products of soy milk or soy with allergies to peanuts correlated. However, finds an analysis of a large group in Australia is not binding on the consumption of soy milk, and that the appearance of the link may be preferred soy milk to families with allergies to milk known. It is possible that exposure may be the peanut oil in lotions with the development of allergy. Another hypothesis of the increase in allergies to peanuts (and other immune diseases and autoimmune) in recent decades is the hygiene hypothesis.

Some symptoms of peanut allergy are:

* Allergy to peanuts can be severe symptoms such as gastrointestinal, skin and respiratory diseases are characterized by other food allergies and by high rates of symptoms on minimal contact.
* Potentially anaphylactic shock in response to the ingestion of peanuts can be experienced by severe allergies to peanuts. Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction in which the release of histamine, which causes a swelling of difficulty breathing, heart failure, circulatory collapse and sometimes death.
* To the extent third of peanut-sensitive patients have severe reactions such as fatal and near fatal anaphylaxis.

There is no cure against allergies to peanuts and no treatment to eliminate or reduce the severity of peanut allergies. Therefore, the strict avoidance of peanuts and peanut ingredient is the only way is to prevent an allergic reaction. The reactions may begin and go fast in extreme cases detected in a few minutes to kill. Heavy topics are epinephrine (adrenaline) to avoid anaphylactic shock. If administered in time, the recovery of an injection of adrenaline by the state anaphylactic constriction of blood vessels faster, increased heart rate, stops the swelling of the face and throat, and relaxes the muscles in the lungs. Once given immediate medical attention is necessary.
