Lenovo T500 Windows 7 Reviewed

I have a loyal customer to buy Dell laptops and workstations without too many questions. However, when I go to the market for a new corporate laptop type I was shocked to see how Dell does. The Latitude 6500 is a laptop all bad. It looks cheap and evaluation according to the website of Dell laptops is cheap in quality. Since I work a lot on my laptop I can not much downtime due to faulty hardware. I need something that is reliable and Dell just does not give me a warm feeling with its current line of business notebooks. So instead I ordered a company Lenovo T500 laptop.

The ordering process was a bit awkward when I wanted a laptop Lenovo and Windows 7 is a bit slow to update their website. But everything was in place, I even found a 10% discount on a special price of Windows 7 and in the end I probably saved about $ 600 or more on the new laptop. The new laptop came six days after the order yet, but the site is a 13 days delivery period indicated.

After unpacking the laptop, the only thing missing is a recovery media. Apparently, they did not come with the product and you have to do with control of the laptop. But the only way she had shown on the site, as I had ordered me a Windows XP restore disk. So I must quickly write a little.

The quality of the laptop is usually very good. I think there are still some problems with drivers and Windows 7, because of its brand new, so I give them little more pilots. The laptop is black and looks happy much better than comparable Dell. The plastic is not as cheap as the Dell, and certainly not a fingerprint magnet like the Latitude series 6500th the image quality of the Lenovo notebook is very good. The keyboard is solid, and because I have a document that I have here that is good, can. I'm still used to locate some of the key, but it is a matter of time.

The battery life is 3.5 hours for the Lenovo T500 laptop. I have some problems with the laptop in standby mode. It will slow down the battery - I guess because of some LED lights on the outside. It's probably a little easier, but since my laptop for a few days I have not finished studying the topic.

My conclusion: I think the Lenovo T500 laptop so I can compare it to a Dell Latitude 6500 Personally, I glad I bought the laptop Lenovo am. It looks professional and gives me a bigger bang for the buck. There are some minor issues and I blame the driver support for Windows 7 I have had similar problems with my Dell D820 when Windows Vista is released and the problems were quickly fixed with new drivers. I expect the same here. Dell may be considerably improved their laptops to make me rethink my choice.
